The Barefoot Investor by Scott Pape:

This book will help you dig deep. It’s an easy read with clear and practical ideas about how Scott Pape’s strategies can change your experience and ideas about money. You will also enjoy the case studies told by everyday people. This book will do a lot of good to a lot of people of all ages. It really is the only money guide you’ll ever need. – Karen (Store Manager)

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell:

Carry On was an easy read and the perfect book to fall into. Set in a familiar fantasy world, it was a story that kept you wanting more and by the end, I did. The story of Simon and his friends was such a great one, I didn’t put it down until the very end. By the end of the book, I was in love with the world and the characters and wanted more. – Taylah

Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor:

“It was impossible, of course. But when did that ever stop any dreamer from dreaming.”
Strange the Dreamer follows protagonist Lazlo Strange, on his quest to find the mythical lost city of Weep. Laini Taylor is one of my favourite authors, and the writing in this novel was incredibly beautiful. Strange the Dreamer has a wonderful ambience to it, and I devoured every page and I am really looking forward to seeing where we head in the sequel. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read and enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone, or is considering trying Laini Taylor for the first time. – Tamara

Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence:

Prince of Thorns follows Prince Honorius Jorg Ancrath as he plunders, kills, and terrifies the land, in a search for revenge for his late mother and brother. This is a dark novel, and whilst some aspects of the book may give cause for pause, the writing is so vivid and descriptive, it feels as if you are actually there in is mind. This novel is an absolutely fantastic read for anyone who likes Joe Abercrombie, or really anyone who likes dark fantasy. – Morgan

Dawn Study by Maria V Snyder:

After much anticipation and a long wait for this book, I was very excited to pick it up and read it. However, I was disappointed at its lack of description and its very abrupt nature. It was enjoyable in the sense that it kept you hanging and needing to read on, but Snyder’s s language lacked an imaginative tone I have come to appreciate in other books of this genre. Like her previous books in the series, I really enjoyed the change of characters throughout the novel as I became invested in their personalities and their outcomes which kept me reading to the end. Overall, it was nice read and a good end to the series, my only wish was for more description. – Steph

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver:

“They say to live every day as if it’s your last.”
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver follows the story of Samantha “Sam” Kingston, a 17-year-old from Ridgeview. We are first introduced to her on February 12th also known as Cupid day. Sam and her friends are all invited to a school party to celebrate, however, this would eventually lead to tragedy. After leaving the celebration, the car loses control and Sam loses her life. Remarkably, following this, she is woken up, completely shaken in her bed with a clear vision of what occurred that night however the date has not changed. She is forced to relive the same day over and over as she attempts to change a fate that has already been written. The book turned feature film, Before I Fall, is beautifully crafted, extremely compelling and highly recommended! – Rebekah

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen:

Just listen is a heartwarming young adult romance by Sarah Dessen. Dessen is an amazing and long established novelist. Just listen is equal parts heartbreaking, heartwarming and romantic. Sarah has created an enchanting novel that will resonate with young women for years to come. Dessen has an amazing ability to communicate just how it feels to be a teen. Would definitely recommend this to every young woman. – Caitlin

Memories by Lang Leav:

Memories by Lang Leav is easily one of my favourite books. This beautiful collection continually inspires my imagination every time I read it. Leav’s hauntingly beautiful poetry is full of raw emotions – brief verses of love and loss which resonate deep inside. It’s perfect to read all in one sitting, or a couple of poems at a time.
My personal favourite poems include: ‘The Rose’, ‘Birthdays’, ‘Some Time Out’, ‘Broken Hearts’, ‘All There Was’, ‘Always’, ‘Always With Me’, ‘That Night’, ‘A Stanger’ and ‘All or Nothing’. – Abigail
