I don’t quite know how to describe this book. Kostakis builds a narrative of love and rips your heart out at the very end. This is my favourite book this year, and one of the best queer YA novels I’ve ever read. So full of heart and passion, two narratives are interwoven that explore identity, family, and trying to live life despite the obstacles that may come your way. Kostakis has written one of the most powerful narratives I’ve read in a long time, and the feelings I’m currently navigating are sure to linger for time to come.
