The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth:

Sally Hepworth is by far my favourite author. Her upcoming anticipicated release The Family Next Door, that is due at the end of this month, is incredible. It is filled with lies and deceit and reveals shocking secrets. I particularly love that you can never pick the ending of Sally’s books, you think you know what is going to happen but it turns around into something you never expect.
I wondered if I could love this novel as much as I loved her first one- The Secrets of Midwives and I did!

Artemis by Andy Weir:

Despite being very different from Weir’s first book, The Martian, I loved Artemis. Full of wise-cracking humour, it features a kick-butt female lead and it’s set on the Moon!
Jazz, a lunar porter and part time smuggler, is given an opportunity she can’t resist – to earn a lot of money by blowing a few things up. It sounds too good to be true, and it is, with plans going awry and Jazz having a very close encounter with death.
I found Jazz completely relatable and I really hope she features in more books! She’s flawed; she makes bad choices and deals with them the best way she knows how – shortcuts! (which often land her in more trouble). It definitely makes for an exciting adventure.

This book is all about accepting your strengths and flaws and I can honestly say this book motivated me to be myself with a much healthier attitude. We’ve already seen so many amazing new Australian authors publish books this year and this is the one I’m most excited for!
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is due for release on the 19th of March and will feature as QBD’s April Book Of The Month.
This is such a beautiful and bittersweet novel that pulled me in so completely with its characters, tragedies and vivid landscapes.
