Reviewsday: The Best of Me

best of meOne of my favourite Nicholas Sparks books, this one had an ending I didn’t see coming. I’m a sucker for a good love story and Nicholas Sparks is the master. This book didn’t disappoint!

This is the story of high school sweethearts Amanda Collier “the girl next door” and Dawson Cole “the boy from the wrong side of the tracks”. 25 years later, life has taken them down very different and seperate roads. They meet again after the death of a dear friend and it is very clear that the spark is still there. Like The Notebook, this is a story about love that endures and breaks boundaries. True to Sparks’ form, The Best of Me will keep you turning pages well past bed time and stun you with an ending you REALLY didn’t see coming.
