“Revived, But Never Forgotten”
Now fifteen, Daisy has died and been Revived five times. Each death means a new name, a new city, a new identity. The only constant in Daisy’s life is constant change.
Then Daisy meets Matt and Audrey McKean, charismatic siblings who quickly become her first real friends. But if she’s ever to have a normal life, Daisy must escape from an experiment that’s much larger–and more sinister–than she ever imagined.
It’s not often you get to read a book where the main character dies in the first two pages! Cat Patrick’s second novel, Revived explores death in a completely original way. Daisy is the bi-product of a secret band of government and new generation drugs that can revive the dead – making the story feel like the magical baby of The Matrix crossed with Buffy. Could I make it sound more awesome?!
Daisy’s sidekicks Matt and Audrey (read Xander and Willow), bring life to the novel – pun intended. The pair help to guide Daisy to uncovering the truth behind the horrible accident 11 years ago that saw her revival journey begin. Amongst the mystery and intrigue however, the pair manage to bring a great amount of humour into the book. They will have you smiling in no time!
Revived is an exciting novel that will keep readers hooked, but remember – when death is around every corner, not everyone can be revived. The novel explores bereavement and loss with the same painful precision that death hits anyone, but with a slight twist – it explores this in a world where the main character has never died and stayed dead…
