Lee Child is back with the 20th title in his Jack Reacher series ‘Make Me’. In Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King crowned Childs’ iconic main character Jack Reacher “the coolest continuing series character now on offer” and this latest book does not disappoint.
Beginning with Reacher’s arrival in a small town in middle America, ‘Make Me’ takes you on a dark and twisted thrill ride that stays with you long after you have finished reading. All Reacher wants to know is why the latest town he landed in is called “Mother’s Rest” and he gets much more than he bargained for, thrust into the dark underbelly of the deep web.
Walking away would have been easier. But as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.
Like most of the Reacher novels you can read this book without reading the entire series, but if you love it, I would definitely recommend reading the rest! Reacher is a complex character with many layers and getting to know him is half the fun!
Ordered the book but can’t wait until it arrives? It’s your lucky day! Lee Child has made the first two chapters available as an excerpt on his website: www.leechild.com
