Direct from the North Pole!

xmas elfWe here at the QBD Blog have been lucky enough to get a visit from Santa’s elves early this year, and they brought us news of a whole lot of fantastic new books the big man will be bringing!

Elf Ernest, Santa’s Head Elf, has been telling us all about his favourite eight books this Christmas, and we can’t wait to tell you all about them!

First, for all our wonderful Peppa Pig fans, we have ‘Peppa’s Christmas Wish’. Peppa and George are lucky enough to meet Santa himself and tell him all about what they want for Christmas, and Peppa gets to make a very special Christmas wish. Will it come true?

Secondly, our favourite puppy Spot is back with ‘Happy Christmas, Spot! Help Spot and his friends guess who gets which present, and lift the flaps to see what’s inside each box!

Next is a very special gift pack, that comes with not only a book, but also a Christmas tree decoration! ‘Father Christmas Needs a Wee! is a fun counting book following Santa’s adventures on Christmas Eve night, as he travels from house to house and enjoys all the treats left out for him!

where's santaBut what happens when Santa can’t be found? In ‘Where’s Santa?‘, Detective Inspector Scrooge needs your help to track down Santa before the big day, after he disappears trying to track down his stolen sleigh! Like a Christmas version of Where’s Wally, this book has a whole list of Christmas things to find on each page, plus a 150-piece jigsaw puzzle!

Elf Ernest has told us about three fantastic gifts for all our little Aussie booklovers out there. ‘There Was an Old Bloke Who Swallowed a Present’, ‘An Aussie Night Before Christmas’, and ‘Deck the Shed with Bits of Wattle’ all give a modern Australian twist to Christmas classics, with a healthy dose of good Australian humour while they’re at it! The whole family will get a good laugh out of these cheeky books!

Last, but definitely not least, how can anyone go past ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’? This book is Elf Ernest’s favourite story of all time, and we have to say it might just be ours too. It’s a beautiful story about a grumpy old Grinch who learns the value of friendship and love at Christmas.

Don’t forget to keep track of Santa and his elves here!
