Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer:
“Hopeless…. That’s exactly what I am…”
What an amazing start to the new spin off series by Marissa Meyer, in this graphic novel, Iko has given herself the daunting, challenging job of hunting down the rouge bioengineered wolf-human hybrids that have plagued the commonwealth and surrounding earthen countries since the fall of Queen Levana. Queen Selene has her hands full planning the abdication of her throne and dispatching the antidote to all eatherns effected by Letumosis. This book once again, left me wanting more. I read the entire book in one sitting. – Peta
Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco:
As the debut novel from not only a new author, but also the first novel under a new publishing label, I went in to this book not knowing what to expect at all. While interning in forensic medicine under her uncle and assisting him with a string of horrific murders in 19th century London, Audrey Rose ends up perhaps a little too heavily involved in the investigation. As the daughter of a Lord, she has been strictly forbidden by her father to be involving herself in such things and should be busying herself with teas & finding a suitor instead. But our beautiful, headstrong protagonist knows only too well that she’s growing up in a mans world and will stop at nothing to prove she is just as worthy of it as any man. I can’t wait for the next one! – Jessy
Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater:
The Raven King is the fourth and final book to the raven cycles series. THIS BOOK! It was an emotional roller coaster. In the Raven King, Gansey, Blue, Adam and Ronan are one step closer to finding the lost king. Blue, destined to be the cause of her true love’s death, Adam the eyes and ears of Cabeswater, Ronan the dream walker and Gansey, destined to die for greatness. This series brought on so many mixed emotions and I loved every bit of it! Highly recommend it is a must read! – Gordy
It by Stephen King:
Skulking in the storm drains and sewers, IT lurks. The children of Derry, Maine are in danger of the creature below. Join the loser’s club as they face the terrible truth that has plagued their small town for centuries. This group of seven kids must face their demons to stop Pennywise and save the children of Derry. This book is unlike anything you’ve ever read before and there is definitely no one way to describe the horrific events that occur in Stephen King’s epic story of friendship and murder. So grab a balloon and come on down to read because “We all float down here”. – Kyle
