9780857985224Mischief and mayhem abounds at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale!

It's the beginning of term and Alice-Miranda is delighted to be back at school. There is excitement in the air with the news of Miss Reedy and Mr Plumpton's engagement and fast-approaching wedding. When a surprise arrival is added to the mix, both the students and teachers are thrown into a spin. Meanwhile, Caprice and Millie's bickering reaches an all-time high and things look set to explode.

Nearby, in Winchesterfield, there is plenty afoot with the village about to host Chudleigh's, the country's most prestigious dog show. Along with the event come a series of bizarre characters. Could their strange behaviour be hiding something more alarming? If so, Alice-Miranda will need to act quickly to save the day!

To celebrate the release of Alice-Miranda's fabulous new escapade in February, Alice-Miranda to the Rescue, we have a signed set of books AND a bunting to give away!

Everyone loves the Wimpy Kid! Perfect for readers 8 years and over.

Life was better in the old days. Or was it?

That's the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn't cut out for an old-fashioned world.

With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going 'old school' just too hard for a kid like Greg?

It’s a Wonderful Life!

Meet Auggie Pullman. Star Wars fan, dreamer, joker, and first-time Middle Schooler. As ordinary as Auggie feels, he knows that he is different. People treat him differently, people look at him differently (if they look at him at all). Born with severe facial abnormalities, Auggie will always stand out in a crowd. Even after countless operations, his face is malformed enough to induce curiosity, horror, and pity in the strangers around him. And now, it has been decided that he will leave his safe home-schooling routine, and enter Beecher Prep Middle School.

Anyone who has ever been to school can probably guess what happens next. However, despite the stares, whispers, and gasps, Auggie makes a friend. Then two. And, slowly but surely, the bright spark that is Auggie's humour, bravery, and intelligence shines bright enough for the whole grade to see, as his schoolmates learn that 'ugly' is only skin deep.

This is a beautiful story which will stay with you long after turning the final page. Narrated by Auggie, his sister Via, his friends Jack and Summer, and other complex and sympathetic characters, Wonder tackles a tough subject with sensitivity and warmth. Similar to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, this book will be enjoyed by adults and younger audiences alike, and reminds us of the value of kindness, understanding, and acceptance.
