Bourne EnigmaThe Bourne Enigma by Eric Van Lustbader:

Action packed with complex plot lines and plenty of surprises this book is sure to entertain. Bourne's trademark survival skills and legendary deductive reasoning see him stop at nothing to avenge an old friend killed on the night of his wedding. But much more is a play here, and Bourne is racing to unravel the dire plots in time. A mad soup of spies, assassins, world powers struggling for dominance and arms dealers and major underworld players manipulating each other to instigate the next world event. Not Lustbader's best book in this epic series but still a good read. - Gillian (Store Manager)

Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris:

Quid pro quo. I tell you things, you tell me things. Yes or no, Clarice?

Silence of the Lambs follows Clarice Starling, an FBI student in training who is assigned to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer to fill in a questionnaire. Through their conversations she discovers he is the only person who may possess vital information to solve the grotesque murders by the serial killer dubbed Buffalo Bill. She risks her future career with the FBI to catch the killer before he skins another woman alive. But Dr.Lecter has an interest in Starling...

This book has incredible tension and shows how intelligent and manipulating Dr. Lecter can be through his conversations with Starling, which are intriguing and thought provoking. The plot is well written with a strong female protagonist who needs to capture one killer by talking to another. Now, If you don't mind stepping out of your comfort zone, please join the infamous Hannibal Lecter and help yourself to some liver with some fava beans and a big Amarone. - Ayano

FellsideFellside by M.R. Carey:

Just like his first book, The Girl With All The Gifts, this is not for the faint hearted. If you are into a story with a ghost element this one is for you.

She is a drug addict, she has set a fire that destroys and kills, she is in prison with the walls that hold secrets and where the staff are as dangerous as the inmates. But she sees the boy whom she killed and he needs her to find the answers. Is she worthy to continue to live and can she make a difference? You decide. - Karen

Rangers Apprentice 1: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan:

An amazing pick up for any lads (or ladies) aged between 9-15 with a taste for adventure. Surrounded by enemies, the Rangers are the peacekeepers of the kingdom that our hero, Will, joins. This entire series is a must-read filled with monsters, sorcerers, assassins and armies that Will must overcome to earn his Silver Oakleaf, and to save his friends and the kingdom. A perfect gift idea, as readers are bound to keep asking for the next book. One of my childhood favourites. - Callum

I'll Give You the SunI'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson:

The story of twins named Jude and Noah. I'll Give You The Sun follows their lives, from first love to family loss and betrayal. Switching between Jude's point of view to Noah's, it follows from when they are thirteen up until they're sixteen, each giving them a year of their lives to tell. This is one of my favourite novels of all time and I can't wait to read it again! I really liked the writing and my favourite quote from the book has to be: “I watch him throw his head back in supreme happiness, like he's hearing that he gets to choose the colours for all the sunsets from now on” - Belle

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder:

“Choose: a quick death or slow poison”
Yelena is a self-confessed murderer, due to be executed when she is offered a deal by Valek the commander of security: be executed today or become Commander Ambrose's new poison taster. After accepting Valek's offer she is subject to trial by fire training, where knowing the taste and smell of each poison could be the only thing to save her life. Maria V. Snyder has created a truly magnificent world with characters that can make you feel as if you yourself were walking the halls of Ixia. - Jess
