E.L. James rewrite of Fifty Shades of Grey has broken international first week sales records for adult books.
Grey sold 647,401 copies in its first three days in the UK , beating record holder Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol, which sold 551,000 copies in five days in 2009. It has also become a hit in the US, selling more than 1.1 million in the first four days*. Australian results are still coming, but our thirst for the novel hasn't been quenched yet, with it flying off the shelves.
Inspired by fans asking James for Christian's view on the romance between himself and Anastasia, Grey offers a fresh perspective, allowing the reader to connect to the character on a deeper level as we get a window into his thoughts, reflections and dreams.
“A man who acquires the ability to take full possession of his own mind may take possession of anything else to which he is justly entitled.’ I’m very singular, driven. I like control—of myself and those around me.”
